In keeping with the ancient Circle of Stones tradition, the gathering is held only in the spring and fall.  Gatherings begin on a Thursday morning and conclude the following Sunday after the closing ceremony.  A minimum of four participants are needed for each gathering.  Should each gathering fill to its maximum number of participants, a waiting list for each session will be created should an unexpected vacancy occur. 

Who SHOULD Come To This Gathering

Every woman hungry to rediscover, reclaim, or reconstruct the life she was born to live -- the woman who feels deep within her bones there is another part of her waiting to be acknowledged, trusted, honored, and loved.

Every woman who feels that, although her life has been rewarding, there is something missing -- something elusive but very much a part of the ache she has felt for a long, long time.

Every woman who feels she is standing at a fork in the road ... and isn't sure if she should take the road less traveled by.

Every woman who wants to re-member the woman she has forgotten to be.

Who SHOULD NOT Come To This Gathering

Any woman who needs to be led.  This gathering is about hands-on participation.  You will do and experience things you've never felt or done before.  If you expect to come, sit, and make nice notes about wise things, you will not be an asset to a Circle that is all about sharing and learning with and from those who are walking the Vasalisa path with you.

Any woman who just wants to "plug in" to the energy of the event, get "revived," then return home expecting to go back to business as usual.  There is no "business as usual" after attending a Circle of Stones.  And that's about the only absolute, honest, unadulterated truth I will swear to regarding this event. If you aren't ready to make at least one significant, life-altering change in your life, you are not yet ready for this gathering.

Any woman looking for the "magic wand" that will change her life.  There are no quick answers, no "abracadabra" shortcuts to your La Que Sabe.  There are no 5 steps to this, 10 steps to that.  In other words, there are no express trains to the answers you seek.  You already know the answers. You have to re-member them.  And that takes a lot of digging, weeding, transplanting, watering, and nurturing.  Nothing in Nature grows on demand.  If you are looking for quick solutions, this Circle is not for you.

Any woman whose desire to come is wishy-washy.  There's a very limited number of participants for each gathering.  Please don't register if you haven't made a rock-solid personal commitment to yourself to attend.  That means nothing within your power will prevent you from coming to the Circle because you are ready to give yourself permission to re-member the woman you have forgotten to be.

Where the Circle of Stones Gathering Is Held

The Circle of Stones gathering is held at Hoophole, a very special, secluded space in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, 50 miles southeast of Asheville in the foothills of the magnificent Blue Ridge Mountains.

Hoophole's restored red barn sits on 40 acres of pristine woods and meadows, all part of the Fox Haven Plantation, founded in 1775 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Hoophole is not only the home of KohlQuest, it's also home to the fox, wild turkey, deer, raccoon, squirrel, owl, heron, and hawk ... and scores of songbirds that add their harmonies to Hoophole's natural symphony of sounds . Oh yes, one can't overlook Hoophole's comic four-legged residents:  Pooka, Chango, and Michu ... two dogs and one cat ... two Laurels and one Hardy!

Hoophole invites you to walk trails that will stimulate your imagination ....

            Accommodations

You will be responsible for arranging your own accommodations in and around the historic town of Rutherfordton, North Carolina.  There is a different kind of inn, bed and breakfast, motel, or cabin for every taste and budget  ... from the restored 1822 Carrier Houses Bed and Breakfast (photo above) to campgrounds.  Five national franchise motels are also in the vicinity:  Super 8, Ramada Inn, Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Jameson Inn.

After your registration is confirmed, you will be mailed a packet of information listing all area accommodations with contact phone numbers and web sites if available.

If you are registering for a fall Circle of Stone gathering, be aware that autumn is a popular tourist season as travelers flock to the Blue Ridge Mountains for the fall foliage.  Be sure to make your room reservations early enough to avoid a possible reservation crunch from out-of-town visitors.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Space in the Circle of Stones gathering of your choice shall be considered reserved upon receipt of your $100 non-refundable reservation fee.  The remaining $500 registration fee is due, in full, one month before your scheduled gathering. At that time, payment can be made online by credit or debit card or by mail with a United States Post Office money order.

Should KohlQuest decide to cancel a scheduled gathering for any reason, other than an "act of God," those with reservations for the canceled gathering shall have their reservation fees returned in full.

NOTE:  Registration is limited in order to preserve the event's special atmosphere of intimacy, personal interaction, and individual attention.  Please don't hesitate in registering for the gathering of your choice.  Delay could mean experiencing the disappointment of being closed out of a session or put on a waiting list.  And disappointment is NOT the kind of experience we want you to have!

After your $100 reservation fee is received and processed, a confirmation email will be sent notifying you of your reserved place in the gathering you have chosen. You will then receive an information packet detailing what to bring to the gathering, what to wear, directions, and explicit details to assist in your choice of travel arrangements and accommodations.
